Crash victims all from Far South Coast

Police have identified the driver and passengers of a vehicle involved in a fatal crash on the state’s South Coast this morning.

About 3.40am, a Hyundai Excel was travelling north on the Princes Highway when the vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree at Little Bellbird Hill about 1km north of Eden.

As a result a 17-year-old Pambula girl driving the vehicle died at the scene.

A 15-year-old boy from Merimbula was airlifted to Canberra Hospital and is in a critical condition.

A 15-year-old girl from Bembooka and a 13-year-old boy from Merimbula were transported to Pambula Hospital, before being airlifted to Canberra Hospital. They both remain in a critical condition.

Crime scene officers attended the scene and detectives from Far South Coast LAC are investigating.

Two lanes on the Princes Hwy were closed for a number of hours while police investigated.

                         Ulladulla Police Catch Another Drunk Driver 

300 Random Breath Tests with three drivers charged with drink driving offences, one driver a 19 year Cambewarra man was detected at 10am Sunday morning with in a low range reading resulting from consumption the previous evening . This has been the initial operation for the Summer period ahead and Police will continue to perform these duties throughout the Summer holidays over the command targeting anti social behaviour and traffic offences.

The police air wing were utilised in Ulladulla on Thursday 3/12/09. The helicopter was initially tasked to help search for bushwalkers near The Castle in Moreton National Park after several distress flares were reported on Wednesday evening. The helicopter located 2 bushwalkers from Western Australia however it appears they did not need assistance and the flare sighting remains a mystery. Around 11.30am the Helicopter redeployed to the Narrawallee Inlet at Mollymook where they rescued a 17 year old female who had got into trouble in the surf returning her safely to shore. They then assisted local Police with an aerial search of the Mollymook area for a missing 56 year old Mollymook man with a medical condition. The man was eventually located about 8am on Saturday 5/12/09 and taken to Hospital for treatment

                                                       Illegal Abalone Bust by Ulladulla Police 

Police and Fisheries catch 4 males with 135 abalone, many undersized. Currently only 2 abalone per person is allowed.

Local arsonist firebug lights 3 seperate fires in Bendalong in as many weeks. Usually around midnight.

Police attended the scene and are making inquiries. Anyone seeing suspicious activity is urged to call Crime stoppers on 1800 333 000.

 

 

Motorcyclists fall off vehicle when stopped by Police.

Two 18 old males from the Ulladulla area came off there trail bike when being stopped by Police on Saturday evening. Police were patrolling Narrawallee due to complaints of unregistered trail bikes when they sighted the rider with a pillion passenger. Police signalled for the rider to stop and in attempting to do so the rider and his passenger fell from the motor cycle. Both were treated for minor injuries. Police action is pending.

A beach-goer attemps to paddle out on her board as Mollymook Surf Life savers rescue prepare the IRB for a wind surfer who was blown out to sea in high winds yesterday. The Surf Club is trying to get support from council to extend life guard times at the popular beach.

Gale Force Winds at Sussex Inlet brings down power lines and starts a grass fire. 

 26 September 2009..A male steals a shoalhaven council truck from Ulladulla Harbour (6am) whilst worker was cleaning the facilities..A short time later the vehicle crashed at high speed near the Sussex Inlet turn off , managing to flee the scene, for a only a few minutes before  the Police caught him a short distance away..

Police are appealing for information from the public about the disappearence of Kathleen Harris, who went missing 10 years ago from Huskisson.
